About Tai Chi (Qigong)

Tai Chi is a low impact, free flowing form of meditative movement which helps bring about calm and peace of mind whilst also gently exercising the body, helping to enhance the flow of 'Qi' (vital energy). Evidence suggests that Tai Chi has a positive effect on health and well being and is becoming more popular throughout the western world having been practised as an ancient art form in Asia for centuries.


Over the years, many including the Duchess of York and David Beckham use Tai Chi to relax and increase health by rooting and connecting their bodies with the earth. There are regular report that their mental acuity improves, they are more mindful and positive about life and are able to deal with daily stresses and frustrations more effectively. You can experience the same thing too!


The taster sessions will allow you to see how to learn to let go of anxiety and stress that gets trapped inside the soft tissues and joints of our bodies. You will be able to enjoy the many physical and mental benefits of Tai Chi practice if done regularly. 


Tai Chi is great for all ages, all fitness levels. This is frequently used for people with mobility disabilities like the elderly or people undergoing chemotherapy. There is also an option to do it seated but to get the full benefits it is definitely better practised standing so that you are connected to earth.
